Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module. General Failure Information

Cause of DTC

The control module is continually supplied with necessary information from the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) via CAN communication. The control module checks the communication with the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS). The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that: No communication with the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS). The control modules test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts when: The vehicle is in normal mode. Engine running. The voltage supply to the control module is 10-16 V. Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
