OBD2 or On-Board Diagnostics displays messages for basic group styles. More comprehensible code composition has been standard since 2000. The DTC code consists of five characters and its composition will be shown in this video

Insight into programming

The basic unit for the operation of any computer is the bit. Logic 0 and 1 are expressed by a single bit. Diagnostics The error code is composed of 16 bits. Basic error definition

Accelerator Pedal (AP) Position Sensor, Faulty Signal

Cause of DTC

The accelerator pedal position sensor has two different internal sensors, where one generates an analogue signal and the other a pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal. If Engine control module (ECM) registers that the analogue signal from the accelerator pedal position sensor is lower than 0.15 V or higher than 4.85 V for longer time than 0.3 seconds with ignition on, then diagnostic trouble code ECM-9530, Too low high signal, is stored. For upgraded software, released during year 2006 or later, the above detection times are increased from 0.1 to 0.4 seconds.
