Description
When powered, the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) sends a test current to the Impact Pressure Sensors to verify the integrity of the sensor and wiring.
Cause and Solution
LEFT SIDE IMPACT PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUITS SHORTED TO VOLTAGELEFT SIDE IMPACT PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUNDLEFT SIDE IMPACT PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNAL AND GROUND CIRCUITS SHORTED TOGETHERLEFT SIDE IMPACT PRESSURE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT OPENLEFT SIDE IMPACT PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPENOCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC)
Circuit Short To Ground
This sub type is used for failures, where the control module measures ground (battery negative) potential for greater than a specified time period or when some other value is expected.
