Power Tailgate Control Unit Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (VSP NE Message)
Description
Poor communication between the Power Tailgate Control Unit and the Gauge Control Module. If DTCs B1011, B1060, B1061, B1205, B1206, B1207, B1906, B1956, and or B2160 are also indicated, perform the gauge control module input test. If no additional codes are present, perform the power tailgate control unit input test.
Cause and Solution
Loose or poor connections between the power tailgate control unit and the gauge control module
Loose or poor connections between the Power Tailgate Control Unit and the Gauge Control Module
Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse relay box
Open or Short between the Power Tailgate Control Unit and the Gauge Control Module
Faulty Power Tailgate Control Unit
