Driver Seat Position Sensor, Faulty Signal
Description
The central electronic module (CEM) checks the signal from the drivers seat position sensor. The information lamp is lit and SRS warning message is displayed. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a faulty signal on the signal cable. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Open-circuit or contact resistance in the signal cable or in the connectors between the central electronic module (CEM) and the drivers seat position sensorOpen-circuit in the drivers seat position sensorShort-circuit between the two signal cables connected between the central electronic module (CEM) and the drivers seat position sensorShort-circuit in the drivers seat position sensorDamaged drivers seat position sensor, resulting in a current value outside the permitted range from the drivers seat position sensor
