Crankshaft Position Sensor (POS) Circuit (Includes Hybrid Models)
Crankshaft Position Sensor (POS) Circuit (Includes Hybrid Models)
Description
HYBRID MODELS CAUTION: Hybrid systems use very high-voltage battery systems. Before starting any service work involving the battery system, turn the ignition switch OFF and then remove the service plug from pocket in the trunk. After removing the service plug, wait 10 minutes before touching any of the high-voltage connectors and terminals. The crankshaft position sensor (POS) signal is not detected by the ECM during the first few seconds of engine cranking. The proper pulse signal from the crankshaft position sensor (POS) is not sent to ECM while the engine is running. The crankshaft position sensor (POS) signal is not in the normal pattern during engine running.
