HO2S-12 (Bank 1 Sensor 2) Circuit Malfunction
Description
Engine started, vehicle driven at a steady speed of over 1600 rpm in closed loop, ECT sensor more than 158ºF, BARO sensor over 75 kPa, fuel level over 15%, and the PCM detected the average HO2S signal was less than 120 mv or more than 900 mv, or that the HO2S Pullup signal indicated more than 4.5v for 2 seconds.
Cause and Solution
HO2S signal circuit is open between the sensor and the PCMHO2S signal circuit is shorted to sensor or chassis groundHO2S signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power (B+)HO2S is damaged, contaminated or it has failedPCM has failed
