Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit Lost Communication with Drivers MPCS Unit (DRLOCKSW Message)
Description
Poor communication between the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit and the Drivers MPCS unit. NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A. If DTCs B1013, B1065, B1182, and or B1356 are also indicated, perform the drivers MPCS unit input test. If no additional codes are present, perform the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit input test.
Cause and Solution
Loose or poor connections between the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit and the Drivers MPCS unit
Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse relay box
Open or Short to ground
Faulty Drivers MPCS unit
