Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Switch (VTEC Oil Pressure Switch) Circuit Low Voltage
Description
With the engine running, engine speed a minimum of 4,800 rpm (Variable that is depending on the engine load). The rocker arm oil control solenoid is ON, the rocker arm oil pressure switch remains ON. The execution time is once per driving cycle and DTCs P2648, P2649 are not active. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Low engine oil or faulty oil pressure Poor connections or loose terminals at the rocker arm oil pressure switch, the rocker arm oil control solenoid, and the PCM Short circuit between the PCM and the rocker arm oil pressure switch Faulty rocker arm oil pressure switch Faulty rocker arm oil control solenoid Faulty rocker arm
