Description
Tailgate outer handle or power tailgate not working. NOTE: If the power tailgate motor does not operate, test the motor first.
Cause and Solution
Loose or poor connections at the power tailgate control unit and at the tailgate outer handle switch Short between the power tailgate control unit and at the tailgate outer handle switch Faulty door lock knob switch Faulty door lock actuator An Open or Short in the wire between the driver’s MPCS unit and the lock knob switch Faulty Power Tailgate Control Unit Faulty Tailgate Outer Handle Switch
