Excessive Time To Closed Loop Fuel Control
Description
DTC P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117, P0118, P1111, P1112, P1114 and P1115 not set, engine runtime from 16 seconds to 50 seconds, ECT sensor more than -40ºF and less than 50ºF at startup, HO2S signal varying indicating it is hot enough to operate, IAT sensor more than 50ºF during testing, and the PCM detected the ECT sensor signal did not reach a closed loop temperature value of at least 71.6ºF after 4 minutes of engine operation.
Cause and Solution
Check the operation of the thermostat (it may be stuck open)Coolant level is too low, or the coolant mixture is incorrectECT sensor signal circuit has a high resistance conditionECT sensor is damaged or it has failed
