Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with Relay Control Module (RM Message)
Description
Poor communication between the Gauge Control Module and the Relay Control Module. If DTCs B1005, B1959, B2162, and or B2970 are also indicated, prform the Relay Control Module input test. If no aditional codes are present, perform the Gauge Control Module input test.
Cause and Solution
Loose or poor connections between the Gauge Control Module and the Relay Control Module Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse relay box Open or Short to ground at the Gauge Control Module Open or Short to ground at the Relay Control Module Faulty Gauge Control Module Faulty Relay Control Module
