Fuel System Too Rich (Cylinder Bank 1)
Description
Key on or engine running, all electrical components off and coolant temperature at least 80 degrees Celsius; and the DME detected the Bank 1 Adaptive Fuel Control System reached its rich correction limit (a rich A F condition). The fuel status is in a closed loop pattern, the coolant temperature is greater than 7 degrees Celsius, and the engine speed is less than 1400rpm.
Cause and Solution
Camshaft timing is incorrect, or the engine has an oil overfill condition EVAP vapor recovery system failure (may be pulling vacuum) Fuel pressure regulator is damaged or leaking HO2S element is contaminated with alcohol or water MAF or MAP sensor values are incorrect or out-of-range One of more fuel injectors is leaking
