Description
When the lock button on the door handle is depressed, a switch is activated and a counter starts. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that: Lock button has been activated for longer than 2 minutes. The control modules test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of: Activation of the lock button. Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Cause and Solution
Damaged switch.Lock button depressed for longer than 2 minutes.The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
