F-CAN Communication Line Error

Description

F-CAN Communication Line Error. Poor communication between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) and the Gauge Control Module. NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

Cause and Solution

Check the vehicle battery condition
Poor connections or loose terminals at the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver)
Open circuit between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) and the Gauge Control Module
AcuraLink control unit needs to be updated
