Description

The central electronic module (CEM) monitors the battery monitoring module (BMS) and its associated functionality. The battery monitoring sensors (BMS) main function is to monitor the battery status. The sensor measures and calculates information about battery voltage, current(in or out from battery), calculated battery capacity, the vehicles resting current consumption, and battery temperature. This information is sent to the central electronic module (CEM) which then calculates how the alternator shall be controlled for optimal battery charging. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module detects: Hardware failure on the battery monitoring sensor (BMS). The control modules test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of: Engine running.
