F-CAN A Malfunction (BUS-OFF (PCM))
Description
The PCM does not receive any signals via the F-CAN A lines for at least 1 second. When a malfunction is detected, the D indicator blinks, and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM memory. The MIL does not come on.
Cause and Solution
Check battery and charging system condition Loose or poor connections, or worn shorted wires Short in the F-CAN wires Faulty gauge control module PCM may need to be updated with the latest software Faulty PCM
