Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
Description
Engine cranking or running; and the PCM did not receive any CMP signals after it detected a Start signal for a period of 3 seconds.
Cause and Solution
CMP (Hall) sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to groundCMP (Hall) sensor ground circuit is openCMP (Hall) sensor power circuit open (test power at MFI relay)CMP sensor is damaged or has failedPCM has failed (PCM provides a VREF signal to the sensor)
