Rear Air Fuel Ratio (A F) Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1) Heater System Malfunction
Description
The execution time is continuous and the duration time is 40 seconds or more. Battery voltage minimum 10.5 volts. Malfunction determination 1: The rear A F sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) internal resistance value is 110 ohms or more for at least 40 seconds right after the engine starts. Malfunction determination 2: The rear A F sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) internal resistance value is 110 ohms or more for at least 15 seconds. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot. The rear A F sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) internal resistance value is 200 ohms or more for at least 1 second.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at the A F sensor (Sensor 1), the relay and the PCM
Open circuit between the PCM and the A F sensor
Faulty A F Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
PCM needs to be updated with the latest software
