Cause and Solution

Loose or poor connections between the Gauge Control Module and the Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Short to ground in the wire between the Gauge Control Module and the Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Faulty Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Faulty Gauge Control Module
