Drivers MPCS Unit Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (VSP NE Message)
Description
Poor communication between the drivers MPCS unit and the Gauge Control Module. NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A. If DTCs B1011, B1060, B1061, B1205, B1206, B1207, B1359, B1906, B1956, B2157, and or B2160 are also indicated, perform the Gauge Control Module input test. If no codes are present, perform the drivers MPCS unit input test.
Cause and Solution
Loose or poor connections between the drivers MPCS unit and the Gauge Control Module Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse relay box Open or Short Condition between the drivers MPCS unit and the Gauge Control Module Faulty Gauge Control Module Faulty Drivers MPCS Unit
