Damper Motor Position Sensor Recirculation, Signal Too Low
Description
The recirculation damper motor contains a potentiometer which indicates the position of the damper to the control module. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECC-236 is stored if the control module detects that the signal from the potentiometer is too low.
Cause and Solution
Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.Open-circuit or short-circuit to ground in the potentiometer power supply.Defective damper motor.
