Motor Control Module (MCM) Lost Communication with DC-DC Converter (HYBRID MODELS)
Description
With the ignition ON and the MCM supply-power voltage a minimum of 9.0 V, the communication information from the DC DC converter can not be received or the received data is abnormal for at least 2.0 seconds. (IMA system indicator is ON) WARNING: The IMA system uses high voltage (144 V), before servicing turn OFF the battery module switch.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at the DC-DC converter and the MCM Faulty +B connector on the DC-DC converter Blown fuse Open or Short circuit between the DC-DC converter and the MCM Faulty DC-DC converter MCM may need to be updated with the latest software Faulty MCM
