Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor No Signal
Description
With the engine running no signals from CMP sensor A are detected while signals from the CKP sensor are detected 352 times in succession. The execution time is continuous and DTCs P0335, P0339, P0344 are not active. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at the CMP sensor and the PCM
Open circuit between the CMP sensor and PGM-FI main relay
Open or Short circuit between the PCM and the CMP sensor
Open in the wire between the CMP sensor and ground
Faulty CMP sensor
PCM needs to be updated with the latest software
