Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Intermittent Interruption
Description
With the engine running more or less than two CMP sensor pulses are detected during intervals between the CKP standard pulses. This condition occurs at least 30 times. The execution time is continuous and DTCs P0335, P0339, P0340 are not active. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Damage to the CMP sensor pulse projection on the front camshaft pulley
Poor or loose connections at CMP sensor, PCM, engine ground, body ground
