Gear Incorrect Ratio
Description
Engine started, battery voltage must be at least 11.5v, all electrical components must be off, and the ground between the engine and the chassis must be well connected. The ECM detected an incorrect gear ratio.
Cause and Solution
ATF level is low
Circuit harness connector contacts are corroded or ingressed of water
Circuit wires have shorted to each other, to battery or ground
Automatic Transmission Hydraulic Pressure Sensor 1 has failed
Solenoid valves in valve body are faulty
Transmission Control Module (TCM) needs replacing
Transmission Input Speed (RPM) Sensor has failed
