Excessive EGR System Excessive Flow Detected
Description
Engine started, IAT sensor more than 38ºF, engine running, system voltage at 11-16v, and the PCM detected the EGR position sensor signal indicated more than 21% over a 625 ms period during the EGR System flow test right after engine startup.
Cause and Solution
Linear EGR valve control circuit is shorted to ground
EGR valve is stuck partially open during the initial startup test
EGR valve is damaged, or has excessive carbon buildup
