Cylinder 3 Fuel Injection Circuit Short to Ground
Description
Key on or engine running, fuses in the instrument panel and the E-box in the engine compartment must be functioning, and the ground connections between the engine ad the chassis must be well connected; and the ECM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the injector circuit. Wiring or fuel injector has a short circuit to ground.
Cause and Solution
Injector control circuit is open
Injector power circuit (B+) is open
Injector control circuit is shorted to chassis ground
Injector is damaged or has failed
ECM is not connected or has failed
Fuel pump relay has failed
