Ignition Coil Power Output Stage 1 Short to Ground
Description
Key on or Engine started, battery voltage at least 11.5v, all electrical components off, ground connections between engine and chassis well connected, and the ECM detected the voltage of the ignition coil was outside the designed parameters.
Cause and Solution
Fuel pump relay faulty
Canshaft position sensor has failed
Engine speed sensor has failed
Circuit wires have shorted to ground or are open
Ignition coils with power output stages are faulty
