Secondary Air Injector Valve Circuit Short to Ground

Description

The Engine Control Module detects a short circuit to ground when activating the secondary air injection solenoid valve. Note: Solenoid valve is closed when no voltage is present.

Cause and Solution

Connector to the secondary air injection valve is loose or disconnected
Secondary air injector valve circuit short
Secondary air injector valve circuit is open
Faulty secondary air injector valve
