Secondary Air Injection System Pump Relay Circuit Short to Ground
Description
The output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) can be activated only with the ignition switched on and the engine not running. The output DTM is interrupted if the engine is started, or if a rotary pulse from the ignition system is recognized. .
Cause and Solution
Fuel pump relays have failed
Fuel injector has failed
Hoses on the EVAP canister may be clogged
EVAP canister purge regulator valve may be faulty
ECM may have failed
