Fuel Level Sensor (Fuel Gauge Sending Unit) Circuit Low Voltage
Description
The fuel level sensor (fuel gauge sending unit) output voltage is 0.10 V or less for at least 5 seconds. The execution time is continuous DTCs P0463, U0155 are not active. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at the gauge control module, the fuel gauge sending unit, and the secondary fuel gauge sending unit
Short circuit between the gauge control module (signal line) and the fuel gauge sending unit
Faulty fuel gauge sending unit
Faulty gauge control module
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
