Description
Engine started (cold) for 10 seconds, battery voltage must be 11.5, and all equipment must be off. The DME detected the ECT sensor signal was out of the specified range. This is a thermistor-type sensor with a variable resistance that changes when exposed
Cause and Solution
ECT sensor signal circuit is open (inspect wiring connector)
ECT sensor signal circuit is shorted to ground
