Cold Start Idle Air Control System Performance Problem
Description
The execution time is once per driving cycle and the duration time is 10 seconds or more. When the actual amount of air is less than the target amount, a malfunction is detected. The total airflow is decreased by a factor of 0.693 for at least 10 seconds. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Dirty air cleaner element
Damage air cleaner element or housing
Dirty or damaged throttle bore
Poor connections or loose terminals at the throttle body, the MAF sensor IAT sensor
Faulty throttle body
