Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)
Description
The engine’s warm up performance is monitored by comparing measured coolant temperature with the modeled coolant temperature to detect a defective coolant thermostat. The engine temperature must be less than 65 degrees Celsius, engine speed greater than 8
Cause and Solution
Check for low coolant level or incorrect coolant mixture
DME detects a short circuit wiring in the ECT
CHT sensor is out-of-calibration or it has failed
ECT sensor is out-of-calibration or it has failed
