Description
Engine started, vehicle driven at 1600rpm for 3 seconds or to a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, and the DME detected the Knock Sensor 1 (KS1) signal was too high
Cause and Solution
Knock sensor circuit is open
Knock sensor is loose (tighten to 20 NM)
Contact between the knock sensor and cylinder block is dirty, corroded or greasy
Knock sensor circuit is shorted to ground, or shorted to power
