Description
No FWD position signal is detected when the vehicle speed changes from 6 mph (10 km h) 25 mph (40 km h) 6 mph (10 km h) in D or D3. DTCs P0705, P0721, P0722 are not active. NOTE: This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at the transmission range switch and the PCM
Open in the wire between the transmission range switch and ground
Open in the wire between the transmission range switch and PCM
Faulty transmission range switch
PCM needs to be updated with the latest software
