Incorrect Third Gear Ratio
Incorrect Third Gear Ratio
Description
Engine started, vehicle operating with 3rd Gear commanded on, and the DME detected an incorrect 3rd gear ratio during the test. Input speed must be greater than 400rpm, and output speed must be greater than 250rpm for 10ms of continuous time.
Cause and Solution
3rd Gear solenoid harness connector not properly seated
3rd Gear solenoid signal shorted to ground, or open
3rd Gear solenoid wiring harness connector is damaged
3rd Gear solenoid is damaged or not properly installed
ATF level is low
