Short in Transmission Gear Selection Switch Upshift Switch Circuit, or Transmission Gear Selection Switch Upshift Switch Stuck ON
Description
The S-UP switch signal is turned on in P, R, N, and D3 for at least 10 seconds. The execution time is continuous and the duration time is 10 seconds or more. NOTE: This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.
Cause and Solution
Faulty transmission gear selection switch
Open or Short in the wire between PCM and the transmission gear selection switch
Short to ground between the transmission gear selection switch and the PCM
PCM needs to be updated with the latest software
