Short in 3rd Clutch Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch Circuit, or 3rd Clutch Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch Stuck ON
Description
The input signal from the 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch to the PCM is low when driving in 1st gear, 2nd gear, 4th gear, or 5th gear. The execution time is continuous and the duration time is 2 seconds or more. NOTE: This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.
Cause and Solution
Faulty 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch
Poor connections and loose terminals at the 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch and the PCM
Short circuit between PCM connector terminal and the 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
