Open in Shift Solenoid Valve D Circuit
Description
The return signal does not match the command to turn OFF shift solenoid valve D for at least 1 second. The execution time is continuous and the duration time is seconds or more. Battery voltage is 11v and DTCs P0973, P0974, P0982 are not active. NOTE: This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at shift solenoid valve D and the PCM
Open circuit between PCM connector terminal C9 and the shift solenoid harness connector
Faulty shift solenoid valve D or shift solenoid harness
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
