Mass Airflow Sensor Signal Higher Than Expected
Description
Engine started, vehicle driven at cruise speed and then back to idle speed, and the PCM detected the MAF sensor signal indicated more than 16.5 g sec at some point during the CCM Rationality test.
Cause and Solution
MAF sensor signal circuit is open (intermittent fault)
MAF sensor signal circuit shorted to ground (intermittent fault)
MAF sensor is damaged or dirty (it may be shorted internally)
