Transmission Control Module (TCM) Power Up Temperature Sensor Performance
Description
P06AC No other ECM or TCM DTCs are set. Engine speed is 400 RPM or greater for 5 seconds. Ignition voltage is 8.6 volts or greater. Brake torque is not active. Engine speed is valid. Throttle position is valid.
Cause and Solution
The difference between the TCM substrate temperature and the TCM power up temperature is greater than 8-10°C (14-18°F) depending on the average of the TFT, TCM substrate, and TCM power up temperatures.
The difference between the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) and TCM power up temperature is greater than 20-50°C (36-90°F), depending on the average of the TFT, TCM substrate, and TCM power up temperatures.
