Alternator FR Terminal Circuit IGP Circuit Low Voltage
Description
Engine speed 500-3,000 rpm, alternator control mode 14.5 volts minimum. The IGP terminal voltage is 12.0 V or less, and the alternator power generation amount is 0.5 % or less, for at least 60 seconds. The execution time is continuous. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Blown fuse
Poor connections or loose terminals at the alternator connector
Poor alternator ground
open in the wire between the alternator and the fuse in the under-dash fuse relay box
Faulty alternator
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
