Throttle Actuator Current Range Performance Problem (Includes Hybrid Models)
Description
With ignition ON (II), battery voltage minimum of 6 volts and DTCs P0122, P0123, P0222, P0223, P2101, P2122, P2123, P2127, P2128, P2135, P2138, P2176 are not active. The current flow to the throttle actuator is 11 A or more for at least 200 milliseconds. The execution time is continuous. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at the throttle body and the PCM
Short circuit between the PCM (ETCSM-line) and (ETCSM+line)
Faulty throttle body
Faulty throttle actuator control module
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
