Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor 2 Circuit Low Voltage (Includes Hybrid Models)
Description
With ignition switch ON (II) the ECT sensor 2 output voltage is 0.08 V or less for at least 2 seconds. The execution time is continuous. DTC P2185 is not active. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at ECT sensor 2 and the PCM
Short in the wire between ECT sensor 2 and the PCM
Faulty ECT sensor 2
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
