Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor 2 Circuit High Voltage (Includes Hybrid Models)
Description
With ignition ON (II) the ECT sensor 2 output voltage is 4.92 volts or more for at least 2 seconds. The execution time is continuous and DTC P2184 is not active. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at ECT sensor 2 and the PCM
Open in the wire between the PCM and ECT sensor 2
Faulty ECT sensor 2
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
