Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module
Description
No signals from the gauge control module via the CAN lines are received for at least 1 second. The execution time is continuous and the duration time is 1 second or more. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections and loose terminals at the gauge control module and the PCM
Open circuit between the PCM and the gauge control module
Faulty Gauge Control Module
PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
