LOST COMMUNICATION WITH TCM-BUS SIGNAL MESSAGE FAILURES
Description
The Electronic Shift Module (ESM) communicates with other controllers on the Controller Area Network (CAN) C bus and CAN Dedicated Powertrain (DPT) bus. The ESM expects to receive certain messages at certain time intervals from other controllers. If one message is missing, the ESM will not take any action. If more than one message is missing, the ESM will set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).
