Short in Shift Solenoid Valve A Circuit
Description
The return signal does not match the command to turn ON shift solenoid valve A for at least 1 second. The execution time is continuous and the duration time is 2 seconds or more. DTCs P0974, P0982, P0983 are not active. NOTE: This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.
Cause and Solution
Blown fuse Poor connections and loose terminals at shift solenoid valve A and the PCM SHA wire for an intermittent Short to ground between shift solenoid valve A and the PCM Short circuit between PCM connector terminal and the shift solenoid harness connector Open circuit between PCM connector terminals and ground, or poor ground Faulty shift solenoid valve A or the shift solenoid harness PCM needs to be updated with the latest software Faulty PCM
